Several prominent stocks, including PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTM), PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT), and PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR), were key drivers behind the index’s positive performance.

According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (Bursa), the Bisnis-27 Index, a collaborative effort between the Exchange and Harian Bisnis Indonesia, closed at 513.04, marking a 0.40% increase for the day. Throughout the trading session, the index fluctuated between 511.84 and 518.65. Out of its 27 constituent stocks, 15 recorded gains, 9 experienced declines, and 3 remained stagnant.

The robust performance of the index was primarily spearheaded by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTM), which soared by 8.44% to Rp3,470. Following closely were PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT), strengthening by 7.04% to Rp2,280, and shares of PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR), which advanced by 5.82% to Rp25,900.

Further contributing to the positive trend, PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Tbk. (INKP) saw a 3.82% increase, closing at Rp8,150. Other significant gainers included PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk. (DSNG), up 2.89% to Rp1,600; PT Ciputra Development Tbk. (CTRA), rising 2.54% to Rp1,010; and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGAS), which climbed 2.10% to Rp1,700.

In contrast, the decline in performance was led by PT Kalbe Farma Tbk. (KLBF), which corrected by 1.28% to Rp1,160. Following this downward trajectory were PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk. (HEAL), weakening by 1.25% to Rp1,580, and PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk. (MAPI), which experienced a correction of 0.84% to Rp1,180.

State-owned banking sector stocks also faced a sluggish trading day. PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) corrected by 0.65% to Rp4,570, while PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) softened by 0.50% to Rp3,960. Similarly, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI) declined by 0.23% to Rp4,310.

Three stocks that remained stagnant during today’s trading included PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA), PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. (ICBP), and PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk. (MIKA).

Meanwhile, the broader Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) managed to overcome its recent pressures. The IHSG closed today’s session with a gain of 0.85%, settling at 7,801.59. This positive close marks a significant turnaround after two consecutive days of declines, although the index still remains below the 8,000 psychological level.
