Muslim Jaya Butar-Butar, counsel for the former governor, asserted that investigators possess the authority to employ coercive measures if Lisa Mariana is deemed uncooperative with legal proceedings.
Muslim made these remarks when contacted after Lisa’s apprehension by the West Java Regional Police for questioning in connection with an alleged explicit video case. He acknowledged that he had learned of the arrest through reports from various media outlets.
“We only heard about it in the media; however, we are unaware of the specific grounds for the arrest by the West Java Regional Police. We suggest directing inquiries to Polda Jabar for further clarification,” he added.
According to Muslim, such coercive actions align perfectly with the prevailing regulations outlined in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). Should Lisa Mariana continue to be uncooperative and fail to comply with police summonses, it is highly probable that she would be forcibly brought in by police investigators.

“I believe the West Java Regional Police are adhering to their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the guidelines set forth in the KUHAP, which permit the forced apprehension of a summoned suspect who fails to appear cooperatively. The decision to detain her or not remains solely within the purview of the West Java Regional Police investigators,” he elaborated.
Confirming the police’s actions, the Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, stated that Lisa Mariana’s arrest was indeed a necessary coercive measure. This step was taken because Lisa had previously failed to respond to her initial summons. Consequently, her second summons, issued for today, was accompanied by immediate forced apprehension.
“This second summons included coercive efforts. Yes, it is for examination purposes; we have already arrested Lisa. She is now here at the West Java Regional Police headquarters; we brought her in, and she is currently undergoing questioning,” he confirmed.
The West Java Regional Police had previously designated Lisa Mariana and a male accomplice as suspects in the alleged explicit video case that gained widespread attention on social media. This suspect designation followed thorough examinations and in-depth investigations conducted by the police. Both Lisa and the male individual featured in the video have reportedly confessed to consciously creating the explicit content.
