Marion Parent (41) and her child were taking photographs near the Sunda Kelapa Port when they were approached by several perpetrators who brandished knives and forcibly stole their camera. The incident highlighted an immediate need for robust security measures in tourist-frequented areas.

In a commendable display of efficiency, the Tanjung Priok Port Police acted promptly and successfully apprehended eight suspects. This group included three primary perpetrators, identified as local fish loaders, along with four individuals involved in receiving stolen goods (fences), and one suspect who had initially evaded capture.
