Providing expert commentary, Valdy Kurniawan, Head of Research at Phintraco Sekuritas, noted that the IHSG had shown initial strength in the first trading session, closing up 0.44% at 7,709.56. During this period, several key sectors led the charge, with transportation stocks gaining 3.34%, industrial shares rising 2.85%, and basic materials increasing by 1.20%.

From a technical perspective, Valdy elaborated that the market displayed a continuing strengthening trend, evidenced by the MACD histogram which consistently remained in positive territory. This technical outlook suggested an underlying bullish momentum despite the day’s closing figures.

“Given these conditions, the IHSG is anticipated to trade within the range of 7,700 – 7,800 in today’s trading,” he remarked in his daily research report, offering a forward-looking forecast for market participants.
