JAKARTA – Prominent Kalimantan businessman Andi Syamsuddin Arsyad, widely known as Haji Isam, witnessed an extraordinary surge in his wealth, which climbed by a staggering Rp1.19 trillion in a single trading day. This remarkable increase followed his substantial acquisition of shares in PT Abadi Nusantara Hijau Investama Tbk. (PACK).
According to disclosures from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Haji Isam purchased 6.83 billion PACK shares on May 13, 2026. Executed at a price of Rp137 per share, this massive transaction amounted to a total outlay of Rp936.65 billion for the businessman.
Haji Isam’s entry into PACK, securing a significant 21.12% stake in the company, immediately sent PACK’s share price soaring to Rp312 per share by the close of trading on the same day.
Consequently, Haji Isam’s total asset value in PACK shares reached an impressive Rp2.13 trillion, translating into a potential profit of Rp1.19 trillion from his PACK holdings within just one day of trading.
In his letter to the BEI, Haji Isam explicitly stated that the purpose of this substantial transaction was for investment, ensuring a direct ownership status without any repurchase agreements.
This intent was further reiterated in a BEI announcement, quoted on Friday, May 15, 2026, confirming that the transaction’s objective was indeed for direct investment.
Notably, PACK underwent a significant strategic transformation in 2024, shifting its focus to the nickel sector following its acquisition by PT Eco Energi Perkasa (EEP). EEP, in turn, is a company owned by CNGR Advanced Material Co., Ltd., a prominent Chinese firm specializing in battery materials.
Following this change in its controlling shareholder (PSP), PACK officially rebranded to PT Abadi Nusantara Hijau Investama Tbk. (PACK). Currently, EEP holds a controlling stake of 61.71% in PACK.
In 2025, PACK reported an impressive year-on-year sales growth of 295.94%, reaching Rp216.58 billion. This substantial increase is understandable, given that in 2024, PACK was primarily operating in the packaging industry before its pivot to nickel.
Furthermore, the company’s net profit for the entire last year surged to Rp28.57 billion, a dramatic increase from Rp899.75 million recorded during the same period in 2024, reflecting the positive impact of its new strategic direction.
