According to data from the Antam Precious Metals Processing and Refining Unit, the price for a 1-gram gold bar climbed to Rp2,803,000 today, marking a Rp30,000 increase compared to the previous trading session.
For larger investments, the price for a 5-gram gold bar is recorded at Rp13,790,000, while a 10-gram bar is listed at Rp27,525,000. Larger quantities follow a similar upward trend, with the 25-gram bar priced at Rp68,687,000 and the 50-gram bar available for Rp137,295,000.
For significant gold holdings, the 100-gram bar is offered at Rp274,512,000. Meanwhile, the 500-gram bar is set at Rp1,371,820,000, and the largest denomination of 1,000 grams is valued at Rp2,743,600,000.
In addition to the rise in purchasing price, the Antam gold buyback rate also increased today, reaching Rp2,612,000 per gram—an appreciation of Rp35,000 from the previous day. A buyback transaction refers to the process of selling back gold—whether in the form of precious metals, bars, or jewelry—at a rate typically lower than the current market selling price.
Investors should be aware of the tax regulations governing these transactions. Under the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 34/PMK.10/2017, buyback transactions exceeding Rp10 million are subject to an income tax (PPh 22) of 1.5% for those with a tax identification number (NPWP) and 3% for those without one.
