Preparation
Before you begin staining your concrete floor, there are several steps you must take in order to ensure the best results. First, make sure the surface is clean and free of dirt, dust, grease, or any other debris. You can do this by sweeping and mopping the area or using a pressure washer to remove any stubborn dirt.
Once the surface is clean, you must prepare the concrete for staining by applying an acid etching solution. This solution will open up the pores of the concrete and allow the stain to penetrate more deeply. When applying the etching solution, use rubber gloves and safety glasses for protection.
