Agnes Aditya Rahajeng, representing the province of Banten, was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2026 during the grand finale held at the Jakarta Convention Center in Central Jakarta on Friday, April 24. During the final stage of the competition, Agnes captivated the audience in a stunning silver kebaya designed by Intan Avantie. Although it eschewed the traditional ball gown silhouette, the kebaya exuded elegance with its intricate design and a long, flowing train that trailed beautifully across the stage.

The 25-year-old, born on January 13, 2000, clinched the title following a powerful and heartfelt performance during the final question-and-answer session. The judges, led by Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani, posed a challenging hypothetical scenario to the remaining four finalists.

The finalists were asked to choose between pursuing a prestigious Ivy League scholarship abroad or staying in Indonesia to care for their mother, who had just received concerning health test results. Agnes responded with unwavering resolve, stating she would choose to remain by her mother’s side.

“I would choose my mother. In my view, opportunities can arise at any time, but life is lived only once. I believe that what is meant for us will never pass us by. Dreams, careers, and scholarships can be pursued again, but the time we have with our parents is invaluable,” said Agnes, who is the younger sister of Miss Indonesia 2014, Maria Rahajeng.

She added, “I know my mother would want me to prioritize myself and chase the scholarship and career I have dreamed of, but I recognize that it is my mother’s sacrifice that has allowed me to stand on this stage tonight. That is why I choose my mother.”

Meanwhile, Karina Moudy Widodo (DKI Jakarta 3) was awarded the title of Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata, and Gisela Belicia (DKI Jakarta 2) was named Puteri Indonesia Pendidikan.
