Indra Kuspriyadi, Head of the Bank Indonesia Malang Representative Office, revealed that Malang City serves as the primary hub for this growth. Of the total transaction volume, Rp1.27 trillion—or approximately 60%—originated within the city itself. “User participation has surged by 182% year-on-year, representing a significant milestone for QRIS adoption,” Kuspriyadi stated during the opening of the QRISMA Festival 2026 in Malang on Monday (May 4, 2026).
