Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi has urged the public to remain patient as the investigation into the incident continues. Speaking during a press conference at Bekasi Timur Station on Wednesday (April 29), Minister Dudy emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring accountability.

“We want to thoroughly examine how the company provides its services to the public and whether it strictly adheres to safety and operational standards. We ask for the public’s patience, and we will provide updates to the media as soon as the audit results are finalized,” said Minister Dudy.

Minister Dudy clarified that the investigation extends far beyond the individual vehicle that stalled on the railway tracks. Instead, the ministry is conducting a deep dive into the company’s entire operational infrastructure.

“The investigative audit covers all aspects, including operational procedures, technical maintenance, and human resource management. This process is currently ongoing,” he asserted.

The tragic collision occurred near Bekasi Timur Station on the evening of Monday (April 27). The fatal accident, which began when an electric taxi became stranded on a level crossing, has resulted in a devastating toll, claiming the lives of 15 passengers and leaving 91 others injured.
