Number of Indonesian Citizens Allegedly Kidnapped by Israel Rises to Nine

The Global Peace Convoy Indonesia (GPCI) has provided a critical update regarding several Indonesian citizens participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla mission to Gaza, who are believed to have been intercepted and detained by Israeli forces in international waters south of Cyprus.

While initial reports suggested that seven Indonesian nationals were involved in the incident, the GPCI has since revised and expanded the list of those currently held.

According to GPCI Media Coordinator Harfin Naqsyabandi, the latest information confirms that two additional individuals were caught in the interception. “Asad Aras Muhammad and Hendro Prasetyo were confirmed to have been intercepted while aboard the Kasri Sadabat vessel,” Harfin stated in an official announcement on Tuesday evening (May 19).
