President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the Merah Putih Cabinet retreat at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday, January 6.
President Prabowo was seen in a distinguished brown safari suit paired with a black peci, a traditional cap. He was accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who sported similar attire, showcasing a unified front for the executive leadership.
The highly anticipated retreat commenced precisely at 2:00 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Prior to the formal briefing, President Prabowo personally greeted every member of the Merah Putih Cabinet, extending a warm welcome to both ministers and deputy ministers present at the significant gathering.
The proceedings began with an insightful introduction delivered by Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya. His comprehensive presentation highlighted the significant performance achievements of the administration over the past year. Notably, this included a spotlight on the newly established Bridge Task Force, which was formed by President Prabowo at the close of 2025.

The entire Merah Putih Cabinet was in attendance, demonstrating full participation in this crucial discussion. Among the prominent figures present were Coordinating Minister Muhaimin Iskandar, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.
Further bolstering the distinguished roster of attendees were the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) Listyo Sigit, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Chief of Staff of the Army (KSAD) Maruli Simanjuntak, Chief of Staff of the Air Force (KSAU) Tonny Harjono, and Chief of Staff of the Navy (KSAL) Muhammad Ali, underscoring the broad scope of government and security leadership present.
State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that President Prabowo intends to make the cabinet retreat an annual fixture on the government’s agenda. However, he clarified that this year’s unique circumstances led to the decision to host the event at Hambalang, deviating from previous venues.
Prasetyo elaborated on the choice of location, stating, “As we know, early in his mandate, after his inauguration and the formation of the Merah Putih Cabinet, he held a multi-day retreat at the Military Academy in Magelang. While he generally desires to conduct retreats regularly, given the specific situation and conditions this year, the retreat was ultimately held in Hambalang.”
The State Secretary further indicated that the retreat’s agenda included comprehensive presentations by the ministers, detailing their achievements and progress over the past year of the administration. The entire event commenced with key directives and guidance directly from the President himself, setting the tone for productive discussions.
