Speaking after the inauguration of the Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) building on Friday (May 8), Pramono explained that the initial three-month promotional period for the route is nearing its end. “The Transjabodetabek fare was granted a three-month trial period. As that window is closing, we are preparing to make a final decision soon,” he stated. He added that while the Soekarno-Hatta route is being prioritized due to its specific operational requirements, fares for other routes will be addressed simultaneously.

Pramono highlighted that determining the ticket price for the airport route requires careful analysis. Several factors, including the long distance, the high frequency of stops, and the significantly higher parking and operational costs at the airport compared to other city locations, are being factored into the final decision. “We are conducting this assessment specifically for the Soekarno-Hatta route because the operational costs are higher. We want to ensure that the government subsidy remains sustainable,” he clarified.

In the meantime, standard fares for all other Transjabodetabek and TransJakarta routes remain unchanged at IDR 2,000 between 05:00 and 07:00 WIB, and IDR 3,500 after 07:00 WIB.

The Jakarta Provincial Government officially launched the SH2 route connecting Blok M and Soekarno-Hatta Airport on March 12, aiming to provide a reliable public transportation alternative to reduce private vehicle dependency. During the inauguration at the Blok M Terminal, Pramono noted that this route was highly anticipated by the public.

The service is currently supported by 14 low-deck bus units designed for easy passenger access, particularly for those traveling with luggage. The route includes 23 stops, covering all three main terminals at the airport. “The fleet used for this route is specialized, featuring a lower deck and dedicated space for luggage to accommodate airport travelers,” Pramono explained, emphasizing that the service is specifically tailored to the needs of commuters heading to Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
