JAKARTA – The Bisnis-27 Index commenced trading in the green zone this Friday morning, April 17, 2026, signaling a positive start to the day’s market activities. This robust opening performance for the Bisnis-27 Index was primarily fueled by strong showings from several key constituents, notably shares of PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII), PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR), and PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT).

According to data released by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the index—a collaborative effort with the daily Bisnis Indonesia—opened at a level of 501.75. Throughout the early trading session, the index demonstrated upward momentum, fluctuating within a range of 501.60 to 503.71, reflecting active trading and investor confidence in select sectors.

Out of the 27 constituent stocks comprising the Bisnis-27 Index, the morning saw a balanced yet promising distribution of performance. A total of 9 stocks successfully advanced into the green zone, indicating gains, while another 9 remained stagnant. The remaining 9 stocks, however, registered declines, parking in the red zone during the opening hours of trading.

Leading the charge for the index’s gains was holding company PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII), which saw its share price surge by 2.02%, adding 125 points to reach Rp6,325. Following closely, shares of PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR) also exhibited significant strength, climbing 1.59% to a new level of Rp31,975, further underpinning the index’s positive trajectory.

Conversely, some stocks faced downward pressure in the morning session. Shares of AMRT experienced a decline of 1.95%, settling at Rp1,510. Similarly, ANTM saw its value decrease by 0.99% to Rp4,020, while HEAL dipped by 0.83% to Rp1,190. These movements highlight the mixed sentiment across different sectors even as the broader index made gains.

Beyond the Bisnis-27 Index, the broader market also displayed positive sentiment. The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) opened stronger today at 7,645.80, marking an encouraging start for the overall Indonesian stock market. Shortly after its opening, the IHSG had already registered a gain of 0.28%, reflecting an optimistic outlook from investors.

Market participation was robust, with 283 stocks recording gains, 134 experiencing declines, and 227 remaining unchanged in their positions. This dynamic trading activity pushed the total market capitalization to a significant Rp13,642 trillion, underscoring the vast value and liquidity present in the Indonesian equity market.
